Here we have a delightful diamond brooch dating back to the Victorian period. This antique piece demonstrates excellent attention to detail, firstly, with a crescent shaped frame around the outer edge filled with chunky old cut diamonds which graduate in size towards the centre. This ensemble contains beautiful hand crafted floral motifs within which themselves consist of diamond set florets and flower heads before a matching diamond set swallow surmounts the piece with cabochon ruby Eyes. All stones here are set in silver and backed in gold; a typical technique from the era.
